Congratulations to all the teams on their first hike of the new season. We all did a circular walk, some starting and finishing at Chew Valley Lake and others at Dundry. The weather was good – dry but not too hot or cold. The views from Dundry were fantastic.
It was a shock to some, quite how long the walk would be (22 km or 14 miles for the 35mile teams) but as far as I know everyone finished, although some teams skipped a checkpoint or two to finish at a reasonable time. With this walk under our belt, the next one will seem easier, at least in terms of the time and distance spent walking.
